Sovereignty and Natural
God-Given Rights

  1. Recognition as Sovereign Individuals ASMINTI members are recognized as sovereign individuals, meaning they are not subject to the authority of colonial governments or man-made statutes that contradict their inherent rights. Their sovereignty is rooted in the customs, traditions, and matriarchal structures of the Anishinabek Metis Nation, which predate colonial rule and are based on family, clan, and community relationships.

  2. Natural God-Given Rights and Freedoms ASMINTI members' rights and freedoms are granted by the Great Creator (God Almighty), not by governments or corporations. These include:

    • Freedom of speech and movement

    • Integrity, love, safety, and respect on their unceded lands

    • The right to live according to their own customs, traditions, and laws that honor and respect others and Mother Earth

    • The right to repossess and steward their lands and resources

    • The right to live in peace, justice, and harmony with Mother Earth and all good-willing, God-loving people

These rights are outlined in the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous People (UNDRIP) document that binds CANADA, and ALL provinces, pursuant to the Doctrine of Adoption of the United Nations, endorsed by the Supreme Court of CANADA.  Pursuant to Federal Bill C-15, S. 2 (3), nothing delays UNDRIP.

Articles 1, 3, 5, apply to the freedoms as set forth by UNDRIP. Article 1 (rights and fundamental freedoms as recognized in the Charter of the United Nations): Article 3 (right to self- determination), and Article 5 (right to maintain and strengthen their distinct political, legal, economic, social and cultural institutions).

More Benefits

  1. Distinction from Man-Made Laws ASMINTI explicitly rejects the supremacy of colonial or corporate laws that have historically led to domination, enslavement, and the erosion of Indigenous rights.

  2. Instead, members are guided by natural laws and the true Laws of the Great Spirit, which prioritize justice, goodness, and freedom for all. ASMINTI is also a treaty member of the Alliance of Indigenous Nations (A.I.N.) with its own tribunal.

  3. Collective Empowerment and Responsibility As sovereign individuals, ASMINTI members are empowered to:

    • Participate in self-governance and decision-making within their nation

    • Preserve and revitalize their languages, traditions, and cultural practices

    • Advocate for the rights of all Indigenous peoples and support others in joining the nation (either as original or adopted members)

    • Engage in peaceful initiatives to restore land, resources, and community well-being

    • ASMINTI ID Cards for various purposes: travelling auto card, Indigenous health card, land signage, tax exemption card & more

  4. Practical Examples

    • Members can organize and participate in community events, land recuperation efforts, and cultural preservation activities without seeking permission from colonial authorities.

    • They can speak out on issues affecting their people and lands, knowing their authority comes from their ancestral and spiritual heritage.

    • ASMINTI members can welcome new members through adoption, reinforcing the inclusive and matriarchal nature of their nation.

ASMINTI members can also partake in the eco-system, nation-building projects. (more details to follow)
